Abstract

The current study aims to measure the effectiveness of the training program based on optimism in developing the self-confidence of the final stage students (third year of secondary), and to identify the impact of this program on developing their self and social skills. The experimental method (with a quasi-experimental design) was relied upon because it is the most appropriate for this study, as the study sample was divided into two groups in a random manner, an experimental group consisting of (15) students and a control group consisting of (15) students of the third year secondary students from 03 specializations Various (experimental sciences, management and economics, foreign languages) in secondary school * November 1, 1954 * in Laghouat during this school season 2021/2022. The two researchers used the optimism scale of Badr Muhammad Al-Ansari (2002), and the self-confidence scale of *Fatima Amirat* (2016/2017), and the training sessions evaluation form. Then the statistical treatment was carried out using the (spss) program, and the study reached the following results: _ There are statistically significant differences in the average of the experimental group between the pre- and post-measurement according to the optimism variable. _There are statistically significant differences in the average of the experimental group between the pre- and post-measurement according to the self-confidence variable. _There are statistically significant differences in the mean of the experimental group in the dimensional measurement according to the variable of optimism according to gender. _There are statistically significant differences in the average of the experimental group in the post-measurement according to the self-confidence variable according to gender. _There are statistically significant differences in the average of the experimental group in the dimensional measurement according to the optimism variable according to the difference in specialization. _There are statistically significant differences in the average of the experimental group in the dimensional measurement according to the selfconfidence variable according to the specialization. training program, optimism, self-confidence
