Abstract

The present work brings forward the importance of literature and effective listening comprehension in language learning. It aims at investigating the role of literary works in enhancing third year E students’ listening comreension is concerned research explains the significance of listening and speech rate in EFL classes and their role as a means of evaluation and development of English language. Besides, it illustrates few different techniques of language teaching and shows the benefits of this topic which are the manipulation of speech speed and the use of audio literary works. This work adopts a mixed method in the format of the students’ questionnaire. It seeks to understand the usefulness of these activities to promote students’ understanding and to acknowledge the role of the teacher in EFL classrooms troug te articiants’ ersectie e indings and large reeal tat te use o audio literary works with an appropriate speech rate is crucial for an immense comprehension. All in all, this research suggests certain techniques to improve language acquisition
