Abstract

The maimpurpose of the study was to know the guide 's essential characteristics that affect on the mentor and guidance operation from the point of view of school and vocational guidance counsellors in laghout and ghardaïa cities. The study was done on a sample of 100 school and vocational guidance counselors( mixed of males and femals), half of them in the school and vocational guidance counsellors centre of laghouat, The rest of them in Ghardaïa centre. " Descreptive method" is the method used in the study depending on a questionaire for collecting data that was designed by the researcher Mohammed Boufateh, consisting of 48 paragraph, Two open questions and fire alternatives which are (100٪ agree, 75 ٪agree, 50٪ agree,25٪ agree, 1٪ agree), in addition to that, frequency rates and percentages were taken into consederation in processing the outcomes. finally, The study sample says that all the carateristics are important in helping them doing their jobim a right way so they most have them, however the characteristics degrees was varied, starting with the personal and the psychologicalones lrcause they have a big effect on the mentory and guidance process than followed by the sociological and vocational caracteristics because it has a less effect tham the personal and psychological ones.
