The aim of This study is the determine the effectiveness of renewable energies in achieving sustainable development by moving towards the green economy. as the analytical approach was used to address the problem of the study. This study comes to the fact that Algeria. like other countries. is endeavouring to achieve this transition towards renewable energies economies through a set of strategies in order to work out economic. social stability and environmental balance. In fact . algeria owns very significant capacities of renewable energies. notably solar energy. Yet . its experience in this field is then only . in its infancy. our main task consists of giving an idea of the company of electricity and renewable energies SKTM. as a legal entity and sole actor in charge of applying or achieving the aims of the national program of renewable energies. and its impact on sustainable development . But the success of such programmes of developing these energies depends upon supplying adequate financial resources through integrating private and foreign sectors. focusing on human and technological resources. encouraging investment in the sector of renewable energies and adopting foreign experiences in this specific area so as to ensure a comprehensive sustainable development.
