dc.description.abstractThis study aims to identify the analysis of assessment activities for mathematics lessons through the educational objectives of mathematics for the fourth intermediate years in the light of the competency approach. To verify this, the following questions were raised: 1- Do the assessment activities of the mathematics book serve the educational goals in the light of the competency approach? 2- How efficient is the learner in calculating square roots? In order to answer this, the professor’s guide for the fourth years of intermediate learning was relied upon, in addition to the annual plans and educational goals provided by the guardianship ministry. The comparative approach and the content analysis approach appropriate to the subject of the study and the sample represented in the activities of calculating the square roots of the mathematics book for the academic year (2020/2021) were used. ). The results concluded: that the assessment activities serve the educational goals for which they were set, as well as acquiring and employing knowledge, and achieving standards and indicators to evaluate the extent of material ownership for the development and installation of competencies EVALUATION QUESTION, EDUCATIONAL GOAL, COMPETENCY APPROACH
