The conducted research aims at highlighting the outcomes of the 1812 war and thoroughly explaining the effect they had on the advancement of America’s westward expansion, eventually establishing a solid ground for the notion that the war of 1812 did have an impact on America’s expansion. To this end the following questions were asked; to what extent did the war effect expansion? What were the factors or the circumstances that the war created to push forward or encourage later expansion? How did the war effect expansion? The war was influential in later American expansion. The war affected expansion through reviving American nationalism, leading Andrew Jackson to the presidency, and ending the British-Indian alliance
