Abstract
This study aims to identify the attitudes of the parents towards violent
electronic games among primary school students through field study
procedures on a sample of parents in the city of Laghouat.
The study was implemented in two primary schools. The questionnaire
was distributed to the students. The questionnaire was directed to the
parents. The sample consisted of 40 male and female teachers from
different educational levels. In this study, we sought to answer the main
question:
- What are the parents' attitudes towards violent electronic games among
primary school students?
The sub-set of questions was listed as follows:
- What is the most influential dimension to primary school students?
- Are there differences in the attitudes of parents towards violent electronic
games among primary school students by sex?
- Are there differences in the attitudes of the parents towards violent
electronic games among primary school pupils according to the level of
education?
In addition to determining the objectives of the study, the most important:
- Identify the attitudes of the parents towards violent electronic games.
The study relied on descriptive method of analytical style.
Finally, the study reached the following results:
- There is an average impact of violent electronic games on primary school
students
- The most influential dimension to primary school students is the
behavioral dimension.
- There are no differences in the attitudes of parents towards violent
electronic games and their impact on primary school students by sex.
- There are no differences in the attitudes of the parents towards violent
electronic games and their impact on primary school students according to
the level of education
