Cultural diversity is shaped by different historical events, such as immigration, colonization and conquests. Historical injustices have made this topic sensitive to the African Americans who suffered from slavery in the past and still suffer to this day from the traumatic effects of this crime . The concern of this paper is to outline the importance of cultural diversity in the American Schools. Using historical approach, this paper explores the history of minority groups in the United States, specifically students who constantly suffer from discrimination and intolerance in these schools.
