Abstract
Due to the high energy demand of buildings, countries are required to build energy
efficient buildings, especially in areas that suffer from electricity shortages. The aim of this
work is to develop an ideal energy management model for a smart bioclimatic building, located
in Laghouat (Algeria). The dissertation involves sizing a bioclimatic building based on an
estimate of heat balance, to understand heat exchange processes in buildings. In the second
phase, the study integrates internet of things (IoT) technology to develop an intelligent energy
management system for the building. In addition to size stand-alone PV systems, taking into
account factors such as; energy demand and solar radiation. The results contribute to the
development of sustainable and energy-efficient building practices, paving the way for a
greener future in the built environment.
