Abstract
The actual studies aim to discover the relationship between Behavioural problems for
forth year elementary pupils and reading learning difficulties.
There is a search going on to answer on two principal questions
- Is there any relationship between reading learning difficulties and some behavioural
problems for forth year elementary pupils?
- Is any differential in the kind of behavioural problems for forth year elementary pupils
attributed to gender variable?
The research procedures were the following:
- Applying the questionnaire and the list on the research sample and correcting it
- Measuring the Psychometric properties for the questionnaire and the list on the whole
sample to search both categories by extracting stability and honesty coefficient using
various statistical methods
Data were processed by applying :
- 1 - The correlation coefficient (person) by calculating the correlation relationship
between reading learning difficulties degrees and behavioural problems, the total
degree and the three dimensions
- 2- examine « T » for differentials to test differentials between the two genders in
behavioural problems for total degree and three dimensions
- 3- The Standard deviation to recognize degrees dispersion and keeping it away on
Arithmetic average.
- 4- The repetitions: in this case, it means the number of boys and girls, selected sample
and using it in descriptive statistics.
- 5-The percentage : to reveal the sample components distribution according differences
and changes (gender, age)
The actual studies have shown the following results :
- The first basic Hypothesis wasn’t realized. The one that supports the idea: « There is a
relationship of a statistical significance between reading difficulties and behavioural
problems (total degree) for forth year elementary pupils (the study selected sample) ».
- The first partial hypothesis. The one that supports the idea: «There is a relationship of
a statistical significance between reading difficulties and hyperactivity problems for
forth year elementary pupils».
- The second partial hypothesis was realized: the one that supports the idea: « There is a
relationship of a statistical significance between reading difficulties and social
behaviour problems for forth year elementary pupils (study selected sample) ».
- The third partial hypothesis wasn’t realized. The one that supports the idea: « There is
a relationship of a statistical significance between reading difficulties and aggressive
behaviour problems for forth year elementary pupils (study selected sample) ».
- The second basic hypothesis was realized. The one that supports the idea: « There are
differentials of a statistical significance between behavioural problems (total degree)
for forth year elementary pupils (study selected sample) attributed to gender variable
(boys and girls) and the differentials are for boys »
