Abstract

Abstract: Title: The Effects of a Suggested Recreational Sport Program on Enhancing Some Personality Traits Case of: the Hearing-Impaired Pupils at Visually-Impaired School in M'sila. This study aimed to discover the effects of a suggested recreational sport program in the development of some personality traits for hearing-impaired individuals .An experimental method was adopted implementing the athletes personality traits test on a sample consisting of 15 of hearing-impaired individuals non- randomly selected ,using one group with the age range (12- 16), with age average of 14 at the school of visually impaired "the martyr Thameur El Mabrouk" ,M'sila.The group was subjected to the suggested recreational sport program, and participants did not partake in any other sport program. the sample was homogeneously selected regarding: the nature of the impediment and physical aspects along with the varying of personality traits that’s being measured. In addition, Friedberg personality test was implemented, which Dr.Mohammed Hassan Alawi quoted the original list and a shortened list and provided its translation to the Arabic language.The following results were obtained: 1-There are differences with significant statistical indications between the initial and final measures of the nervosity of the individuals with improvement in the final measures. 2-There are differences with significant statistical indications in the before and after levels of depressiblity in the individuals in favor of the after. 3- There are statistically significant differences between the pre- and postmeasurement in the level of ability of the hearing-impaired, in favor of the post-measurement. 4-There are statistically significant differences between the pre- and postmeasurement in the social level of the hearing-impaired and in favor of the post-measurement. 5-There are statistically significant differences between the pre- and postmeasurements in the level of aggression among the hearing-impaired, in favor of the post-measurement. 6-There are statistically significant differences between the pre- and postmeasurement in the level of control among the hearing-impaired and in favor of the post-measurement. 7-There is an impact of the proposed recreational sports program on the dimensions of the personality traits scale for the hearing-impaired.
