Abstract
This study aimed to identify the position of the faculty members regarding the
reality of the application of distance e-learning in the Algerian experience in
comparison with what is practiced in a number of Western and Arab
experiences.
• To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive analytical method was
used.
• The study community consists of all permanent professors at the university
with its ten faculties: the College of Technology, the College of Science, the
College of Economics, Commercial and Management Sciences, the College of
Social Sciences, the College of Humanities, the College of Medicine, the
College of Law and Political Science, the College of Civil Engineering and
Architecture, The College of Arts and Languages, and the Institute of Science
and Techniques for Physical Activities and Sports, whose number reached 1034
professors, according to the numbers presented to us by the various
administrative departments concerned with personnel affairs and professors
from various university faculties.
• Type of sample: Determined in a non-probability random sample. (Quota
sample).
• Sample size: set at 12%
• The original sample size for the study was determined in: 124 items.
• The actual sample size for the study varied from one question to another, as
we recorded the reluctance of a number of professors to respond to several
justifications.
• In terms of technology, the questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting data
and information from the study sample members.
