Abstract

The current study aims to identify the phenomenon of cheating among students of Ammar Thilji University in Laghouat, and the phenomenon of exam anxiety among them, in addition to the relationship between them. This is done by answering the following questions: Is there a relationship between exam anxiety and students' attitudes towards cheating in exams among a sample of students of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Ammar Tilji University, Laghouat? What is the level of exam anxiety among the study sample members? Is there a positive trend towards cheating in exams among the study sample members? Are there statistically significant differences between the study sample members in the trend towards cheating in exams according to the gender variable? In order to answer these questions, the descriptive approach was used, using the questionnaire tool represented in the two exam anxiety scales, and the tendency towards cheating in the exam on a sample of 30 male and female students, to conclude in the end the following results: The attitude of the students in the study sample towards cheating is positive, not severe, but rather close to the average. That is, it is neither strong nor weak. The results also showed that males are more positive in their attitudes towards cheating.
