dc.description.abstractThis research focuses on the area of historical and civilization studies. It is about the role of translation of Ibn Rushd books in the European Renaissance in the 13th century. It aims at analyzing and showing to what extent Ibn Rushd influenced the Europeans. This is done through studying the ways of the transfer of his works to Europe and how the European scholars received them. The findings from this research provide evidence that the European Renaissance owes a great deal to the translation of the works of the Muslim scholar Ibn Rushd. The conclusions drawn from this research is that the translation of Ibn Rushd books benefited the European Renaissance and that European scholars adopted Ibn Rushd’s thoughts.
