Abstract
Today, the English language has become an effective tool that controls all sectors of life,
including the sectors of communication and scientific research globally, which made the
Algerian state embody the project of teaching English in the primary stage and shows great
interest in its development.
The aim of this study is to find out the attitudes of primary education teachers towards the
project of teaching English in primary schools in the state of Laghouat, according to the
variables of the study (sex, educational qualification, and years of experience).
Where we stopped at the beginning with procedural definitions and some previous
studies, in addition to trends, and we also touched on the English language, highlighting the
importance of learning it. To achieve the purposes of the study, we dealt with the
methodological side, where we used the analytical descriptive approach, so we built the
study tool (questionnaire), and the study population for this study consisted of all English
language teachers in Laghouat schools, which numbered 60 male and female teachers. As
for the study sample, we chose the sample randomly. In order to answer the study's
questions and test its hypotheses, we used the statistical package for social sciences
(SPSS) program to finally reach a general conclusion and a set of recommendations
