Abstract

This study aimed to reveal the role of the guidance counselor in reducing the phenomenon of aggressive behavior, and this is by addressing the theoretical side, in which we touched on the definition of the phenomenon, its causes, forms, and methods of treatment, and we also touched on the definition of guidance, its objectives, and the most important foundations on which it depends, and then the definition of the guidance counselor from Through his characteristics, the tasks he performs, and the various strategies he follows in dealing with school violence, as well as the difficulties that the guidance counselor suffers from in the field. Applying the questionnaire to a sample of (59) counselors in the state of Laghouat. Also, the method used in the study is the descriptive approach that is commensurate with the nature of the current topic, and based on the statistical package analysis program in the social sciences, the data represented in the counselors’ answers to the questionnaire presented to them were processed, and by analyzing and interpreting the results of the study, we have reached: -Monitoring, follow-up and counseling operations with the school and vocational guidance counselor, which were at a high rate.
