Abstract

This study aims to know the ambiguity of the role and its impact on the administrative decision-making process at Sonatrach Laghouat, by addressing the elements of role ambiguity, defining the ambiguity of the role and its types and elements and the impact of the ambiguity of the role on the decisionmaking process and the types of decisions taken. Through the approved study model, through which the main hypothesis was formulated that there is an effect of role ambiguity on the decision-making process in Sonatrach, the study adopted the descriptive analytical approach using descriptive statistics methods and analytical statistics methods to analyze the questionnaire data through the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS ). The study reached many results, including the relationship of individuals to their subordinates, where there is no work plan to be carried out by the employee, providing advice and directions on how to perform their tasks, focusing on solving the problems they face, giving tasks that are in their competence, reducing the burden on the individual, and the study recommended Sonatrach (DML) Foundation, the necessity of training the worker on how to carry out his tasks, facilitating the administrative organization and business plan to facilitate understanding their jobs, training the decisionmaking process in the situations facing the individual within the institution.
