إعادة تأهيل المتحف الشرقي بالأغواط

Abstract

Museums are considered as the most important facilities that cities contain, with their distinct locations, identity and character. They are a mirror that reflects the memory of civilized and human peoples, including their accomplishments and monuments, which are passed on to generations. Our research focuses on an aspect of Laghouat Ala's built heritage, which is the Oriental Museum in Laghouat, an architectural building that reflects the authenticity of the city through its architectural and decorative elements, from the arches at the level of its façade to its unique exhibition halls, The Oriental Museum was established by Hajj Bouamr in 1889 AD and was interested in introducing and displaying the region's rich heritage, but over time it was ignored, abandoned and its technical condition deteriorated, while the authorities and departments concerned with the preservation of heritage remained neglected for the time being, despite its cultural and architectural significance In our research, after the degradation that happened, we dealt with the rehabilitation of this instructor, and this by proposing functional and technical rehabilitation processes at the level of different networks, structures and complementary works, after studies that were deduced from the review of examples, books and scientific papers that aim to revitalize the Oriental, to give it a modern character and to improve its service quality in a sustainable framework to ensure that it revitalizes tourism in the region as an effective attraction
