dc.description.abstractThis thesis is based on a study simulating some solutions concerning the problem of electromagnetic torque fluctuation resulting from this type of direct torque control DTC applied to the PMSM, introducing a technique to reduce these torque fluctuations. A fuzzy estimator is applied with Particle Swarm Optimization PSO to a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine PMSM as a solution. This work mainly includes: • General information on the PMSM, its modeling and its association with a three-phase full-wave inverter with diodes; • General information on the DTC and its application on the PMSM in the presence of a speed adjustment loop; • A presentation on fuzzy logic and the development of a fuzzy estimator of the PMSM hysteresis band; thus, its effect on the fluctuations of the electromagnetic torque; • An exposition of the new Particle Swarm Optimization PSO technology and its implementation in order to optimize the gains of our fuzzy estimator.
