Abstract
The study aimed to identify the level of learning motivation and attention and to
determine the relationship between them among third year secondary students.
The study consisted of 108 male and female students in an intentional manner in
“Hamdi Kaddour” and “Hadj Aissa” secondary schools in the governorate of
Laghouat.
The descriptive approach was used for its relevance to the study, and data on the
research variables were collected by the learning motivation scale, which
consists of 35 phrases, and the attention difficulties scale, which consists of 30
phrases.
Then the statistical treatment was carried out using the SPSS statistical package,
and we finally reached the following results:
- There is a statistically significant relationship between learning motivation and
attention among third year secondary students.
- There are statistically significant differences in the motivation to learn among
third year secondary students due to the gender variable (males - females) and
the differences are in favor of females.
- There are statistically significant differences in the motivation to learn among
the students of the sample members due to the variable of specialization and the
differences in favor of experimental sciences.
There are no statistically significant differences in attention among students of
the sample members due to the gender variable (males - females).
There are no statistically significant differences in attention among the students
of the sample members due to the variable of specialization.
