Abstract

Acute ischemia of the lower limbs is a public health problem and a medical-surgical emergency with a clinical diagnosis, definited by the decrease or sudden faret of the ratio of oxygenated blood to the tissues which puts vital and functional prognosis in jul. The objective of the study was to asses the prevalence of ALI at the level of internal medicine and orthopedics department at the hospital of Laghouat from 2017 to 2021. Method : This is a retrospective observational epidemiological study, descriptive cross-sectional monocentric ,non interventional spanning a period of 5 years at the hospital of Laghouat .The study covers 38 files of patients with ALI from the collection archive data from the department of internal medicine and orthopedics Results : This analysis of the clinical files made it possible to conclude that : ▪ Mean age of patients was 68,66 years. ▪ The male predominent is slight . ▪ Smoking ,diabetes ,HBP and ischemic AVC are the most remarkable cardiac risk factors. ▪ The ALI manifests mainly by : pain. ▪ Imaging either doppler-echo or angioscanner should not delay the medical care. ▪ The frequently used treatment is the LMWHs(low molecular weight heparin) and UFH (unfractionated heparins). Conclusion : AILL is a medical-surgical emergency that requires early diagnosis and treatment
