Abstract

The present study aims to diagnose the effect of organizational culture on knowledge management (KM) processes consisting of acquiring, sharing and application of knowledge among employees. The study included four Algerian Firms that have had experience with knowledge management practice A questionnaire has been distributed on a purposive non-random sample of 325 people, and the number of analyzed questionnaires was 306 questionnaire. The study identified the main dimensions of the organizational culture of five dimensions as follows: 1 - Organizational trust, 2. motivation, 3. organizational structure, 4 - information systems, 5- participation. The main findings of this study are: - The employees’ understanding degree of KM processes is above average; - There is a correlation between the organizational culture and the KM; - There is a correlation between each organizational culture dimension and the KM; - Certain personal factors affect the dimensions of organizational culture and KM processes; This study also included a number of important Recommendations to build an organizational culture that encourages and supports a much higher degree of knowledge management recommendations.
