إن الشريعة الإسلامية ماجاءت إلا لجلب ودرء المفاسد في الدارين في الدنيا والآخرة. وتعتبر الضوابط المقاصدية بمثابة الأسس والركائز الجامعة للمقاصد التي تهدف إلى تحديد وضبط مصالح العباد. فالإمام الشاطبي رحمه الله وضع ضوابط وقواعد مقاصدية للكشف عن الأحكام الشرعية لما لها أهمية كبيرة وخاصة ونحن بصدد واقع يعج بالمستجدات والأحداث والوقائع الجديدة.
