Evaluation de la résistance à la corrosion d’un acier inoxydable 316L boruré

In this work, boriding treatment was conducted a on 316L stainless steel in a solid medium consisting of 90% SiC, 5% and 5% B4C NaBF4. Characterization of boride layers formed on the surface of the treated steel has shown that the layer of formed borides on surface is complex. After boring treatment on 316L stainless steel, borated and unbound samples will be exposed to various aggressive media (NaCl, HCl, H2SO4 and H3PO4) to assess their corrosion resistance. The stainless steel is known for its aptitudes of corrosion resistance in many mediums .However, the comparative study between Ti6Al4V and the stainless steel 304L, showed that the first presents a better electrochemical behaviour result of a large passivation field.
