Abstract

Our current study aimed to identify the reality of electronic harassment as a modern phenomenon, by applying it to a sample of law students at the University of "Ammar Thaliji" ~ Laghouat ~, where we relied in this study on the descriptive approach in order to analyze and interpret the phenomenon, and on the interview tool in order to collect data of the respondents. The study sample consisted of 30 female students. Among the most important general results obtained from the study are the following: Social networks have contributed to changing some social values and led to their deviation. And we found that electronic harassment has several forms, such as sending pictures and videos, threatening, hacking personal accounts, etc., and we also found that electronic harassment leaves psychological effects on the victim, and as we found through the study sample’s answer, parental control is very weak, and this may be a reason for the girl to fall victim.
