dc.description.abstractWith 5G New Radio (NR) is finally being established reaching a data rate of 10 Gbps opening the door to advanced services to humanity such as the Internet of things (IoT), Virtual Reality (VR) and many other services. However, the extreme evolution of new services and applications demands for a higher data rates and ultra-lower latency. Taking this in consideration, our work is being concentrated on the development of what comes after the 5G era: Beyond 5G networks (b5G). Beginning with the requirements that are needed to be achieved in the future wireless networks as well as the visions that are expected from b5G systems. Then, moving to one of the most important characteristics which is the of need of higher frequency bands: the Terahertz bands. Next, we went more in depth concerning the signal processing techniques for b5G networks. And then focus on the full-stack protocol and the challenges facing it in b5G networks. Finally, a full scenario of b5G network was simulated using both of ns3’s new module for THz communications: TeraSim and MATLAB.
