Abstract

The study came to reveal the role of the guidance counselor in reducing violence through the students' attitudes. We have conducted this study as a result of the results obtained from school violence within educational institutions, which hinders educational performance. - Through this study, we can reveal the role of the guidance counselor in trying to reduce violence. From this standpoint, the main question came as follows: Does the guidance counselor have a role in reducing school violence? The study included the following hypotheses: - The guidance counselor has a role in reducing school violence among the respondents. - The contribution, supervision and follow-up of the students' guidance counselor in order to reduce school violence among the sample members. - The guidance counselor has a role in monitoring forms of school violence among the respondents. - The guidance counselor plays an educational role in reducing school violence among the respondents. We have used the descriptive analytical approach to describe the studied phenomenon, analyze it, interpret the data, and highlight the role of the guidance counselor. We also relied on a set of data collection tools, which consisted of direct observation, questionnaire, to reach the most effective method of dealing. The study was directed at students of intermediate education (the fourth year average) because they enjoy a distinct age stage in terms of mental, cognitive and emotional development and to feedback on the role of the guidance counselor in guiding and guiding them and addressing their problems.
