L’incidence des traumatismes occasionnés par coups et blessures volontaires dans la wilaya de Laghouat

Abstract

Result: Our main target was to determine the presence of a causal link between the severity of the trauma and mainly gender, as well as age and occupation. We distinguish that the majority of patients in our series were assaulted by men with a percentage of 89% as well as the average age of our sample is 29.89 years with extremes of 4 years and 73 years of which most are having no occupation (46% of the population). The inferential analysis carried out to achieve this goal has shown that gender is a risk factor incriminated in the severity of trauma caused by intentional blows and injuries, whereas occupation and age were not identified as risk factors in our study. Conclusion: Voluntary violence is a real health concern, as the consequences for the victim are certainly not insignific ant. Therefore, it is important to conduct even more research and in-depth studies to take the necessary preventive and safety measures
