Abstract

This study aims to highlight the role of energy mixing in Algeria’s economic growth , using annual data for the period 1990-2020 , using the autoregressive distributed lag model ( ARDL ). The standard study found a long-term equilibrium relationship with a positive energy mix effect ( oil revenues , natural gas revenues , national electricity production ) will affect economic growth in the long term . However , in the short term , the study found that natural gas revenues have a negative impact on economic growth and national electricity production has a positive impact on economic growth , while oil revenues have no impact in the short term.
