| dc.description.abstract | Vitamin D plays a vital role in maintaining overall health, and its deficiency is linked to an increased risk of various chronic conditions, including type 2 diabetes. This study aims to evaluate the vitamin D levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. A 6-month cross-sectional study was conducted with 48 patients undergoing internal medicine consultations at the KHR polyclinic. The results revealed that among these patients, 30 were female and 18 were male, with an average age of 57.10 years, an average triglyceride level of 94.6, and a BMI of 70.9%. Biologically, the average HbA1c was 7.48%, fasting blood glucose was 1.4 g/L, and vitamin D levels were 20 ng/L. Vitamin D deficiency was present in 25% of the patients, insufficiency in 58.3%, and adequate levels in 16.7%. A relationship was identified between vitamin D deficiency and type 2 diabetes, female gender Hba1C, cardiovascular risk, systolic blood pressure index, insulin resistance index, and intimamedia thickness, in contrast to factors like age, duration of diabetes, body mass index, GAJ, BMI and sexe. Keywords : type 2 diabetes, vitamin D, vitamin D insufficiency | |
